Curragh Military Museum, Solas Bhride, st. brigid's well, walking tour of Kildare town & climbing the round tower
Transition Year students enjoyed a day exploring our local heritage with visits to the Curragh Military Museum, Solas Bhride, St. Brigid's Well, Kildare Town and climbing the round tower. It was a very interesting day despite the hailstones!
Students enjoyed fantastic trip to The National History Museum and The National Archaeology Museum recently. Some fantastic 'selfies' were taken!
Transition Year students enjoyed a fantastic day at the Freedom Surf School in Tramore recently. They learned about local ecology, did team building exercises and learned to surf. It was a wonderful day enjoyed by all.
Congratulations to all our new students who recently participated in 121 Digital a new initiative set up by Fintan Mulligan and supported by the Department of Communications. People from the community were invited to come back to the classroom to learn how to maximise their use of their laptops, tablets, smartphones or desktop computers. Transition Year students became tutors to this new group of learners, worked as administrators and provided refreshments. Special thanks to Ger Kelly, a parent in our school who gave up his time to be the mentor for the programme and to his wife Lorraine for baking the delicious cake for our graduation ceremony.
