Congratulations to our Transition Year students who won the overall award for most significant impact Film at the CAST Film Festival Awards in the Green Isle Hotel in Dublin.
Schools from across the country entered the competition which is run to raise awareness on mental health issues. Cross and Passion Coll entered four short films in the competition and all were shortlisted to the top 15 in the country. The winning team members were Jack Kelly, Emmanuel Eguare, Eduardo Espinosa and Colin Pauloin-Valory. The National Award was for the film with 'most impact' and it was selected by former RTE producer Paul Cusack. The awards ceremony was based on the Oscars with students and teachers Aaron Dowd, TV Production Teacher, Glenda Groome TY Coordinator, Eoghan O'Toole and Aoife O'Malley arriving in formal dress for the celebration.
